Swap a booking to another bike

Bike in the workshop, or not ready in time? Move the booking to another of your bikes before the rider picks it up.

How it works:

You can swap to any bike that’s free on the booking’s dates and needs the same licence class. A bike at the same price swaps straight away. If the other bike costs more, the rider pays the difference in their app first. GoRent tells the rider about the new bike.

  1. 1. Open the booking from ‘Home’.

When the other bike costs more

  1. 1. Tap ‘Request payment’. The rider pays the difference on their pickup screen, and the swap happens once they pay.

You can also swap at the counter: on the pickup check, tap ‘Bike unavailable? Swap bike’.

Questions

Why is a bike greyed out?

It costs less than the bike that was booked, so the rider would need a refund. Those swaps can’t be done in the app. Message us on WhatsApp if you need one.

The bike I want isn’t on GoRent

Tap ‘Bike not on GoRent? Add it’ at the bottom of the list. Add the bike at the same price and the booking moves onto it.

Can I swap a bike that’s already on the road?

No. Swaps are for bookings that haven’t been picked up yet.

The bike is at my other outlet

The list shows the outlet’s name next to that bike. You can still pick it, but make sure it’s brought over before the rider arrives.
